Respect All Parties, See Your Business Multiply

A business owner needs to deal with 4 main parties… staff, suppliers, customers and partners.

I am amazed at how frequently I meet business owners who are all charming and accommodating when speaking to clients or prospective clients but immediately turn aggressive and condescending when it’s their own staff or suppliers.

Even more amazingly, these same business owners are also usually the ones complaining their staff have no initiative and their suppliers are not supportive during a credit crunch.

This behaviour not only points to a lack of integrity and professionalism, but also creates confusion for those who deal with the business owner and who have seen this behaviour for themselves. The end result is what you would expect, an inability to sustain the business in the long term.

Only one who deal with all 4 parties with equal level of respect will last long in business.
