One of the topic we covered was ‘moments of truth’, since we have this term in coaching as well, I thought it would be interesting to share how similar it is in business and in life, we are constantly confronted by moments of truths.
A Moment of truth is that instant in time where it becomes crystal clear what the core issue holding us back from getting what we want is.
There are a couple of ways people choose to face their moments of truth, some run away, some deny, some blame, some make excuses, some get angry/hostile at others… but a small percentage will do whatever it takes to overcome the issue and these are the successful ones.
How you choose to face your moments of truths determine how far you can go.
Moments like these determine how ‘big’ or ‘small’ a person you are.
Let’s put it this way… you would have discovered, if you are brutally honest with yourself, from your own experiences, the same lessons, lessons which are unique to your needs, WILL follow you everywhere… you can change jobs, change partners, change employees, change spouses, change cars, change houses, change neighborhood… in fact, you can change everything and the lessons will STILL follow you… until you decide to do something about it.
So this weekend, ask yourselves…
1. What are the moments of truths in your business and life which you have avoided and you discover the ‘they’ are ‘following’ you all the time?
2. What will you do about it?
